HOW WE GATHER OURSELVES TOGETHER IV
How do we deal with an onslaught of the plain ol’ bad? Anxiety fizzes up, and once uncorked, insistently keeps going. It feels appropriate to be anxious when there is real doom to contend with; after all, it is a legitimate human reaction to being under attack. Whatever your version is - panic attacks, a cacophonous mind, physical damage that stress brings, loss of sleep, a nervous energy - how do we gather ourselves together to keep going?
Perhaps we acknowledge it’s all just fizzing a bit, and wait for things to settle down; perhaps then we can see where the bother begins. I’ve found imagining bubbles helps - inherently ephemeral, and whimsical.
