About Sai Pradhan’s Art
Sai is a writer and artist.
She believes that art is born of an intent to be curious, to examine, to experiment, and to communicate. She likes to think of the pursuit of art as a dialogue that artists participate in, and sometimes find belonging in.
Her art has participated in gallery exhibits and is featured in art and literary journals. Please see here for details. She also sells it directly to private collectors. Her writing is published in several literary journals, the press, and travel journals; please see here for details.
She has a BA in International Affairs from George Washington University, and an LLM in International Law from the University of Edinburgh. She also spent a term at SOAS (University of London), took classes with the Rhode Island School of Design, did a summer course at the Insight school of interior design, and some executive education policy and leadership coursework with Harvard Kennedy School. Sai has lived in India, various parts of the US and the UK, and has called Hong Kong home since 2010.
In the spirit of poet Mary Oliver’s words, “The most regretful people on earth are those who felt the call to creative work, who felt their own creative power restive and uprising, and gave to it neither power nor time,” Sai decided to give her art and writing both power and time after many years of an entrepreneurial and corporate career in executive search and in the tech, media, communications, and advocacy spaces in New York, LA, and Hong Kong. She realised it had been a lifelong calling which had been sidelined as a hobby, and re-centred it.
Sai also channels her love for design, photography, and travel, through a visual project called The Particular Rover. She has three rescue dogs - Sophy, Felix, and Wystan, who show up in her work. Her beloved rescue dachshund Rumpole who died in December 2023, also features in some of her work. She speaks a few languages.
